Role Overview

To efficiently and effectively provide professional surveying support to the Commercial and Quantity Surveying team, assist with estimating, procurement and implementing commercial processes.

 

What you’ll do

The following reflects the main tasks associated with your position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive

 

  • Provide commercial links between Site Agents, Fellow Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers
  • External liaison with suppliers and customers regarding project processes and cash flow
  • Production of commercial reports to management
  • Risk analysis and control
  • Provide input into the estimating process and budget control
  • Management of subcontract accounts including procurement, payments and final accounts
  • On site measurement
  • Attend client meetings
  • The ability to prepare quantities from specifications and drawings
  • To promote equality of opportunity throughout the Company
  • To undertake any other reasonable duties as required

 

What you’ll bring

As a Graduate / Junior Quantity Surveyor, your main skills and experience will include:

 

Essential

  • Third level qualification in Quantity Surveying or related discipline
  • The ability to ensure reporting is accurate and completed to agreed timescales maintaining a high level of accuracy
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and within a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Full valid driving license
  • IT literate in all Microsoft Office applications

 

Desirable

  • Knowledge of the PSA Schedule of rates or similar MTC works
  • Knowledge of the SMM7 and NRM
  • Knowledge of Facilities Management works
