HNH Human Capital are recruiting a HR Director for a growing and ambitious company. Based in Belfast, the HR director will be an integral position within the Senior management structure and will report directly to the Board. You have the opportunity to truly shape the direction and success of an established brand within a challenging industry. The business is at a critical stage of growth, with ambitious plans afoot. As such they need a truly expert HR Director who has led a company through growth, change and who can coach and advise at the senior level.


Your new position

The HR director is both a strategic and operational position within this business’ model. It will suit a skilled, pragmatic and creative individual who can truly advise the board on changes that could be implemented. Changes that will have a positive effect on ‘bottom line‘. Ensuring the correct structure is in place will be key to achieving the company’s growth targets, which will be linked to the HR Directors bonus’ scheme also. In addition to devising and delivering on strategy, you will have some operational responsibilities which will involve monthly travel to liaise with regional HR Business partners.

As the company grows, you will be responsible for overseeing the recruitment of appropriate staff to each new store and provide strategic and practical guidance to HR Business Partners in the area of effective performance management, coaching and development and resolving ER issues.

Will you be a good fit…?

As HR director, it is expected that you can offer pragmatic, cost effective solutions to problem areas within the business such as ER, Performance Management, L&D and Health & Safety/compliance. Achieving value for money in these areas is critical as is the ability to strategically oversee operations and report to the board on cost/benefit terms, for new and existing programs to be rolled out.

Additionally, if you are a HR director who has experience in harmonising Contracts of Employment following multiple TUPE scenarios, Mergers or Acquisitions. your expertise will be of high interest.

A positive, outgoing and personable style of communication will be key to engaging with senior stakeholders and delivering operational solutions. Highly flexible and adaptable HR professionals will thrive in this entrepreneurial and passionate business environment. Commercial awareness and experience managing budgets in a multi-site environment will stand you in good stead and assist you in rolling out effective policies across the wider network.

In addition to a fantastic basic salary, you will be offered a bonus of circa 10% linked to both personal and company targets achieved.
