The Group Finance Director is due to retire in 2019, and this has created a career opportunity that must be considered one of the most exciting Finance Director appointments in Northern Ireland this year. The role, offered initially in a designate capacity, will assume full responsibility for the group finance function of this large and complex business.
Working closely with the Group Managing Director, Board Members and Executives you will provide leadership to the Board’s Finance and Accounting strategy and contribute fully to the development of Group strategy across all areas of the business, providing astute financial and commercial analysis that will challenging assumptions and support effective decision-making. You will ensure Group financial systems are robust, compliant and can support the significant future growth ambitions.
We are seeking a very talented qualified accountant with an impressive track record of success, spanning over 10 years at senior management level. Through your career to date you must have contributed significantly at a strategic level and played a leading role in delivering sustainable commercial success. Your background should include either construction, manufacturing, property development or possibly corporate lending.
This role will appeal to an ambitious candidate who is commercially astute, articulate, technically strong, insightful and influential. It requires the ability to work at both strategic and operational levels across the business and to manage significant financial responsibilities in what is a very dynamic and often complex environment.
