MCS Group is representing a massive global brand in their search to recruit Firmware engineers to expand their team in Lisburn

MCS Group is working with an international business in Lisburn to recruit a Senior/Lead Firmware Engineer to join their growing team. This client specialises in the manufacture of high end technology used within the power and utilities industry across the globe to provide specialist products and solutions.

The role:

  • Design and implement software of embedded devices and systems from requirements to production release, through to post release support
  • Design, develop, code, test and debug embedded software across a range of micro-control architectures, from simple 16 bit standalone, through to complex multi-processor solutions
  • Work collaboratively with the hardware designers to optimise software / hardware partitioning
  • Assist in bridging the gap between remote software development and localised testing and debug
  • Contribute to the hardware and software roadmap, to achieve convergence of a complex product portfolio, to a cost optimised platform solution

You will:-

Have a degree in an Engineering or Scientific background or equivalent practical experience coupled with experience gained in real time embedded software engineering i.e. solid programming experience in Embedded C/C++

You will previously have worked in a design and development environment and demonstrable experience defining and implementing complex software/hardware architectures
