Group Head of HR role for a leading, multi-site, commercial organisation. Strategic and operational opportunity, headquartered in Belfast with some travel across the UK & Ireland. Excellent salary.

Our Client is a large, commercial holdings group headquartered in Belfast.  Due to continued growth and success, they wish to appoint an experienced Group Head of HR/HR Manager.  This is a permanent Senior HR Manager job, supporting a large, multi-site workforce, driving the 5 year business plan whilst continuing to showcase the company’s values and visions.  The Group Head of HR/HR Manager will provide strategic and operational support, delivering the people strategy and supporting broad business challenges as well as resolving HR management issues.  The Head of HR/HR Manager must be a pragmatic, strategic business partner who can lead their team by example.  Whilst this Head of HR/HR Manager position is primarily based at the Group Head office in Belfast, there will be some travel across the UK and Ireland so flexibility is important.

 

The Role:

  • Managing and coaching a team of 12
  • Driving HR strategies and coordinating HR initiatives, particularly in relation to employee engagement, compliance and retention
  • Advise the leadership team on projects, policies and procedures
  • Oversee recruitment and analyse attraction and retention
  • Ensuring currently policies and procedures are kept up to date
  • Ensuring all HR processes are GDPR compliant
  • Analyse HR data and produce reports for the Board
  • Review training programs
  • Review performance appraisal processes for the Group
  • Manage employee relations and tribunal claims
  • Work with the HR team on brand initiatives
  • Advise the Management Team on business or process improvement, especially with regards technology or streamlining processes
  • Undertake HR projects or ad hoc work as necessary

 

The Person:

  • Degree level education in HR Management or Business related degree, essential
  • CIPD qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years senior HR generalist experience
  • Experience within a multi-site, customer focused business, desirable
  • Experience of managing budgets
  • Experience of remote management and working in the field, desirable
  • Highly energetic, enthusiastic and commercial
  • Flexible to travel to various sites across UK and Ireland
