CDEnviro is recruiting an Electrical Engineer to join the team based in Cookstown. This person will report directly to the Electrical Department Manager.

Job Purpose:

To complement the core operations team with electrical and control knowledge, ensuring all systems and components of the plant are installed, tested, operated and maintained according to the operational requirements of the customer and delivered in a safe and orderly manner.  A key part of the role will be ensuring control philosophies, design specifications and materials are unambiguous, accurate and agreed with the project manager/client prior to project delivery.


  • To produce accurate BOM’s for electrical components
  • Create and read electrical schematic & wiring drawings
  • Manage electrical element of projects
  • Specify electrical components and cables for plant, control panels and site wiring
  • Co-ordinate with other departments on all electrical aspects
  • Co-ordinate with the design and technical team to support the sales team through preliminary specifications, site visits and technical advice on the products/process for electrical requirements
  • Electrically support the presales team in the creation of price books and quotations
  • Liaison with suppliers to ensure electrical design is per their manufacturing capabilities
  • Co-ordinate and update Electrical manager on project status
  • Fulfill administration duties in the electrical office
  • Understand and management of Electrical CE Marking Requirements and create the electrical session of the Technical File for each product and project
  • Understand and apply the requirements for IEE wiring regulations – 18th edition
  • Follow electrical processes and procedures to ensure high quality outputs
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality, profitability and customer satisfaction
  • Participate in Hazops, Design reviews and R&D activities
  • Adhere to CDE’s HR and H&S policies
