MCS Group has an exceptional opportunity for a DSP Engineer to join a new entrant to the Belfast market.

MCS Group has an exceptional opportunity for a DSP Engineer to join a new entrant to the Belfast market. This DSP Engineer will work on a project in partnership with a household name in electronics. As DSP Engineer, you will join on a 3-6 month basis, with competitive daily rate, and gain exposure to market leading video and recording software.

Our client are leaders in the field of video and recording software, with a twist. Their products and algorithms are used by public sector bodies to enhance safety and security, and to essentially prevent security events before they even happen. As a start up, they have proven themselves time and time again against some of their billion-dollar competitors and offer an exciting environment for research and development.

The Role
This DSP Engineer will…

  • Work on a specific project for a global household name in electronics and engineering.
  • Make a considerable contribution to a new product launch for this electronics giant.
  • Get exposure to products which have beaten the competition in terms of it’s algorithm accuracy and efficiency.
  • Get exposure to a machine learning and computer vision environment.
  • Opportunity for an immediate start.

The Person
This DSP Engineer will…

  • Have experience working with HVX (Hexagon Vector eXtensions). This is essential for this role.
  • Have experience of working with DSP in an R&D environment.
  • Be experienced in working with Embedded Software or developing with C++ .
  • Ideally come from a Mobile background but experience from other sectors ill also be considered!
  • Be available for a start in the next week or so.

This is a 3-month contract, with a daily rate of circa £350 per day (Negotiable).
