A excellent opportunity has arisen for an on-site Desktop Support L2 (Newry) with my client, a global giant in their sector. As the appointed Desktop Support L2 (Newry) you will ensure the proper functioning of personal computing and office technology so that end users can most efficiently and effectively accomplish business tasks.

The successful Desktop Support L2 (Newry) will receive, prioritise, document and actively resolve customer requests and escalations from the Global Service Desk.


  • Ensure all incidents and requests allocated to the team are managed in a timely fashion, and resolution times are met in line with agreed targets.
  • Provide the necessary guidance to Service Desk & Deskside analysts, and provide clear access to the relevant up-to-date technical documentation.
  • Be aware of practice area and support department priorities and ensure that IT support is delivered to support these priorities.
  • Work with Problem Management to improve service to the business and to help resolve problems.
  • Maintain an effective working knowledge of incident resolution across all areas of IT Support in order to maximise customer service and first point of contact call resolution.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates are maintained in the IT Service Management System.
  • Ensure that requests are properly logged, assigned, tracked and responded to in a timely manner and according to agreed standards and procedures. Ensure customers and other
