We are on the look out for an experienced Deputy General Manager to join our team.

Deputy General Manager – Clayton Hotel Belfast City Centre

We have an fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven Deputy General Manager to join our team at Clayton Hotel Belfast city centre.  This is an exciting time for hotels in Belfast, and the perfect time to join our team.  We have recently undergone a bedroom and front of house refurbishment and are looking for a talented and experienced Deputy General Manager to engage our people and drive our service.

The 4 Star Clayton Belfast is perfectly located within the linen quarter of Belfast city centre, ideal for visiting all key attractions.  We are also in an ideal location for shopping, eating out and Belfast’s night life.  Our key features within the hotel include 170 Guest Bedrooms and suites, Exclusive executive floor, Leisure centre including a swimming pool, conference facilities for up to 600 delegates…. the list is endless.

Objective of the Role of Deputy General Manager

Reporting to the General Manager, this is a key role within our hotel ensuring our guests are at the forefront of everything that we do.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in leadership with the ability to develop our team and drive service standards within our hotel.

Key Duties and Responsibilities of Deputy General Manager;

  • Ensure we deliver an outstanding guest experience
  • Lead, value and engage our people
  • Manage all operational departments, including food & beverage, housekeeping, front office, maintenance, leisure and meetings & events
  • Constantly review service standards to ensure we are up to date with current trends
  • Bring creativity to all our offerings
  • Ensure our team are driving revenue and sales at every opportunity
  • Lead and manage health and safety across the hotel
  • Drive the Dalata values across our hotel

The Ideal Deputy General Manager will be;

  • Passionate about hospitality and guest service
  • A natural and engaging leader who will develop our people
  • Previous experience managing front office and Food & Beverage
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Previous reservations and revenue experience would be an advantage
  • Flexible with shift patterns
  • Opera and micros experience would be an advantage
  • Able to demonstrate their ability to meet and exceed targets
