CREDIT MANAGER

Our Client based in Antrim town require a Credit Manager to join their growing team. The successful candidate will be expected to develop strong relationships with customers and suppliers. Working closely with a number of departments within the business, this position will be integral to providing up to date credit information to management to assist them in making well informed decisions to ensure future stability, growth and profitability.

As the Credit Manager your main duties will be to:

  • Manage the Credit Control function with the business, including the Credit Control team
  • Review all processes within the department in line with a continuous improvement agenda
  • Ensure targets are achieved weekly
  • Ensure customer accounts are maintained in line with expectations
  • Ensure timely and effective collection of all debts and customer payments
  • Check customers credit ratings and apply insurance where appropriate
  • Develop strong professional relationships with customers
  • Maintain contact with customers to ensure invoices are clear for payment
  • Resolve queries both internally and externally regarding outstanding invoices
  • Review details of disputed invoices and initiate internal queries
  • Posting and allocating daily receipts to accounting systems
  • Provide accounts information to other internal departments
  • Initiate recover proceedings when necessary

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience working in Credit Control
  • A minimum of 2 years as a Credit Manager (B2B)
  • Experience of high value accounts
  • Experience of `Contract Type Business
  • Ability to manage teams
  • Good level of computer literacy – Word, Excel, Access and the internet
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent telephone manner.
