Grafton Built Environment are delighted to once again be exclusively working with a prestigious Northern Ireland based Construction company. Going through another time of growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Grafton Built Environment are delighted to once again be exclusively working with a prestigious Northern Ireland based Construction company. Going through another time of growth, they are now looking to hire an experienced Contracts Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

The company are based in County Antrim, and are involved on projects across Northern Ireland, offering a competitive opportunity for the perfect candidate.

As Contracts Manager, the successful applicant will effectively manage all site based activities to ensure that all concurrent projects are delivered on time, to the required standards and within budget, whilst maximising client satisfaction. The Contracts Manager will work closely with Quantity Surveyors and Estimators to assist them with the tender process, collating variations and compiling cost reports.

Main Responsibilities:

– Develop Tender stage programme and method statements

– Conduct site visits, review site conditions and provide site reports and information

– Develop construction programmes and communicate to all involved parties

– Ensure critical time frame and delivery plan

– Compile and review procurement programmes/ schedules with the team and ensure enquiries/ tender packages are dealt with accordingly

– Select, appoint and manage sub-contractors

– Work closely with the QS to monitor job costs and budget progress

– Represent the company well and continue to build and develop client relationships

– Ensure team on site are working towards a timely completion and delivery of the projects

– Ensure Quality and Health & Safety management at all times

What you will bring to the role:

– Strong experience and understanding of NEC and JCT contracts

– Have excellent experience in the construction industry, having worked on various sector and value projects

– Strong level of commercial and environmental awareness

– CSR Gold Card and have attended Managing Safety in Construction- Site Supervisors training

– Excellent communication, organisational, planning and time management skills

– Strong people management skills

– Logical thinking and a natural problem solver

– Proven ability to build and maintain efficient and professional Client relationships
