 Job Description

Contracts Manager responsible for the delivery of small and medium size commercial building contracts.

Job Title:                      Contracts Manager


Job Purpose:

Operational responsibility for the cost-effective delivery and development of all assigned contracts.

Contracts will involve a mix of multi trade works, planned maintenance, bundled Hard and Soft FM services and project works.



Job Responsibilities:

  • Operational contract delivery in line with cost limits, income targets and quality standards and address any performance shortfalls

  • Ensure contracts delivered in line with Service Level Agreements and KPIs

  • Proactive contract development including client review meetings

  • Ensure operatives perform all works in line with contract and H&S requirements

  • Manage and develop labour resources as required to meet business demands.

  • Manage subcontractors’ performance levels and address any shortfalls.

  • Manage the timely production of all contract specific documentation and reporting for H&S, cost management, KPIs, invoicing and profitability 

  • Ensure timely production of all reports, valuations and works quotations.

  • Provide written and verbal contract reports for senior management review

  • Support the commercial development of existing and new clients

  • Undertake any other duties as agreed with senior management



    Skills Required: 

  • Management operational delivery of multi-trade building contracts

  • Direct management of contract resources including labour and subcontractors

  • Contract Health & Safety management 

  • Good financial, verbal and literacy skills

  • Project programming

  • Client liaison



    Minimum Experience Required:

  • 3 years contract management in the building sector

  • 5 years operational delivery of building & minor works contracting

  • Operational knowledge of contracts in the retail & commercial sectors
