Commercial Insurance Account Executive- Derry- 22-40k- care allowance

Commercial Account Executive urgently sought for our insurance client based in L/Derry.

The company has over 40 years’ experience, Established in 1977, our client has helped their clients with their insurance requirements through three recessions, the arrival of the Internet and the decline in UK manufacturing.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Commercial Account Executive will work from an existing general portfolio of commercial clients to service, from a broad range of backgrounds, including pubs & restaurants, construction and property owners.


The salary is graded depending on experience (22K-40k) and there is a car allowance. Free parking is available. Also a health scheme is available providing for optical/dental/physio services.

The standard holidays are 20 days plus 10 statutory bank holidays.

As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for advising and selling insurance, creating new customers, increasing revenue, insurance broking, maintaining system records, dealing with customer enquiries, marketing the company image, and credit control.

Skills required:

·Previous experience within a commercial insurance sales role is essential

·Technical and Soft skills

·Identify and acquire new customers in line with the business/sales targets

·Achieve Sales Targets and participate in budgeting/forecasting plans

·Information gathering/products and marketplace knowledge/trends

·Organised, accuracy, and Computer, Report/letter writing skills

·Polite, patient, organised, questioning and listening skills, customer care

·Maintain company image of professionalism and competence

·Maintain records and assist accounts in credit control procedures

·Overview supervisory/monitoring responsibility of brokers/Complaints

·Awareness of legislative requirements including maintaining accurate record

·In assisting with commercial and non commercial company matters

·You are expected to comply with the Compliance and T&C procedures

·You are expected to comply with the FCA Codes of practice.

·You must at all times adhere to the Treating Customers Fairly outcome.
