Your new role
Our client requires a procurement specialist to join their procurement team and assess requirements for materials on a range of projects. You will be responsible for the procurement of material for a variety of projects across the UK and Ireland worth up to £50m. Additionally you will liaise with the surveying and site teams to arrange the delivery of the materials in line with the programme of the project. This is an office based role and you will report directly to the Procurement Manager.
What you’ll need to succeed
You will have a third level degree in a construction related discipline, and will be able to demonstrate a proven track record in procurement for a main contractor. As you will be required to work as part of a team, excellent interpersonal and communication skills are necessary. You will also be able to demonstrate impressive negotiation skills accompanied with the ability to work on your own initiative.
