Buyer role in Co.Tyrone up to £30,000 plus bonus
Your new company
A world leader within the Crushing and Screening industry with headquarters in Co.Tyrone have created a new position due to ongoing expansion, growth in business turnover and newly acquired sites across NI. They are keen to meet with experienced and enthusiastic purchasing professionals who are able to demonstrate strategic price negotiations with global suppliers, work effectively within a motivated team and develop themselves amongst the business. This is a new role on a permanent full time basis.
Your new role
Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, you will work alongside a team of experienced Buyer’s using MRP software to raise purchase orders for all raw materials, primarily steel and plan for forecast stock demand by analysing monthly spend. The Buyer will validate and transfer bills of materials accurately onto SAGE, oversee the movement of materials throughout a fast moving supply chain and lead process improvement initiatives to facilitate continuous improvement. Also, you will communicate effectively with both global and local suppliers to negotiate best price and achieve weekly cost savings to hit set KPI’s.
What you’ll need to succeed
Your degree qualification in an engineering, supply chain or business related discipline along with 3+ years’ experience in a purchasing role will lead to success along with knowledge of MRP/ERP software. Also, you be able do demonstrate evidence of sufficient cost savings using direct negotiation techniques and ability to communicate with a global supply base.
