Building Services Manager

Building Services Manager – NEW OPPORTUNITY

Leading Building Contractor based in Co. Antrim has a new opportunity within the business to employ a Building Services Manager.

In this new appointment, you will be based in Head Office with travel to mainland UK 1-2 days per week. Responsible for all aspects of M&E installations, you will be involved on projects up to the value of £20M within commercial, leisure, & mixed use developments.

The successful candidate will:

    •  Assist with the selection of sub-contractors to tender from the supply chain
    •  Review the M&E tender to agree the bid strategy
    •  Manage all tender M&E queries during the bid stages
    •  Attend the handover meeting & pass the M&E file to the construction teams and surveyors
    •  Review the performance of the M&E sub contractors to assess their suitability to remain on the supply chain
    •  Assist with the management of the commissioning process and compliance of as built and maintenance manuals
    •  Provide input into the monthly project so that it reflects a true/accurate position regarding the service aspects of the project
    •  Assist the contracts manager with the resolution of defects as required
    •  On a monthly basis collate the team’s Project reports and provide a summary report to the Technical Director relating to the projects that your team has supervised.


The ideal candidate will have/be:


    •  Electrical or Mechanical CM/ Supervisor or Foreman Background
    •  Trades background originally in career
    •  Computer literate
    •  Excellent communication skills
    •  Be able to work as part of a team
    •  Ability to organise, plan and manage workloads
    •  Be able to work on your own initiative
    •  Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure
    •  Be able to motivate yourself and others
    •  Experience of working within a construction environment is essential
    •  Commercially aware



Applicants with M&E Coordinator/ Building Services Manager experience within a main contracting environment will be at a distinct advantage.
