The validation officer will be responsible for managing validation projects and supporting efficient running of the equipment and computerised systems in Almac Diagnostics Laboratories.

The Role

Working as part of the Quality team based in our global headquarters in Craigavon, you will be responsible for managing validation projects and supporting efficient running of the equipment and computerised systems in Almac Diagnostics Laboratories. This will include ensuring the correct and timely validation, commissioning, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment and systems

Essential Criteria

  • Degree in a Life Sciences subject (or equivalent level qualification)  OR Previous relevant experience in a similar role in the medical devices or pharmaceutical industry may be considered in lieu of academic qualification requirements
  • Previous experience working as a validation and/or subject matter expert in the following areas:  Equipment commissioning/validation; computerised systems validation/verification; change control
  • Experience of writing and executing validation and commissioning testing documents.


Desirable Criteria

(The following criteria may be applied if a large pool of applicants exist)

  • Experience in generating operating procedures (or equivalent) and document control
  • Working knowledge of Quality System Regulations such as GMP, GCP, ISO13485
  • Experience of validating customised software (IQ/OQ/PQ).
  • Experience of performing periodic reviews.
  • Experience of organising, planning and prioritising validation and commissioning projects.
