Woodford Park is a supported living initiative in Coleraine for adults with learning disabilities who may require positive behaviour support. The position can be physically, emotionally and mentally demanding, but as such, offers incredible job satisfaction for those who enjoy a professional challenge. You’ll be working for and along side the most respected practitioners in the industry. Expectations are high and this job therefore, is not for the faint hearted!

Position: Support Worker (Day duty)

Salary Remuneration: £9.50 + pension opportunity

Description and Duties

  • Full Time: 35 hours per week – any five days out of seven
  • Part Time: 21 hours per week – any three days out of seven

Position: Night Support Worker

Salary Remuneration: £9.50 per hour + pension opportunity

Description and Duties:

  • 20 hours per week – any two nights out of seven
  • 30 hours per week – any three nights out of seven

Requirements

Woodford Park is a supported living initiative in Coleraine for six adults with learning disabilities who sometimes require positive behaviour support.

Applicants must be able to demonstrate an awareness of the needs of adults with learning disabilities in a supported environment. The successful applicants will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the skills required to support people who exhibit difficult behaviours and will understand the mechanics and the intrinsic value of various approaches and programmes. Applicants should be flexible, motivated, and energetic and show an ability to be an effective team member.

Applicants must have a minimum of one years direct experience working with people who have learning disabilities in a community setting and a level II in Health & Social Care or equivalent.Experience of working with service users who exhibit challenging behaviour and have a level III qualification in Health & Social Care is desireable. Equally, alternative experience or qualification that illustrates your comittment to the industry and to vulnerable people will also be valued.
