Your new role
Perfecting preventative maintenance and improving engineering processes is paramount to the role, they like to do things right and always improve to provide optimum OEE and help production achieve their targets. You will be encouraged to contribute ideas which will be given consideration and make a positive impact on the plant. The duties are largely Mechanical with some very basic electrical skills an advantage. The team are long serving so you get the advantage of support and mentoring from colleagues until you find your feet. As they rapidly expand the opportunities are plentiful to further train and you will have direct liaison with management to ensure your great ideas get to make a difference. This is a shift based Maintenance Engineer job, on 12 hour nightshift on a continental pattern.
What you’ll need to succeed
Strong mechanical aptitude (Time served) to complete PM and reactive maintenance and an array of tool changes. Having some basic electrical skills would be an advantage. The role is 12 hour nightshift on continental pattern so this will need to suit you and the advantage is a shorter second week. You’ll need to be improvement driven with a desire to always want to do things better to match the company ethos
