Senior HR Manager Food Manufacturing Client- Tyrone

MCS Group has been retained by one of Northern Irelands leading businesses based in County Tyrone, currently seeking a Senior HR Manager on a permanent basis.

Reporting to the site manager, the Senior HR Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, providing HR advice and guidance to a large, unionised workforce, supported by a strong HR team.

The role

The Senior HR Manager will be responsible for ensuring effective delivery of all aspects of HR for the function, working in partnership with HR colleagues to ensure excellent service is provided to managers & employees at all times, in a consistent manner.

The Senior HR Manager will be expected to fulfill a full remit of HR responsibilities and will need to have good generalist and hands on experience across employee relations, performance management and engagement. They will also coach and support managers on people-related matters, supplying the tools and guidance to effectively manage their teams

Responsible for a small HR team, the Senior HR Manager will have the ability to develop relationships at all levels in the company, particularly at management level, creating an environment of trust and transparency through effective communication. Employee engagement is key to the organisation, therefore it is key the successful candidate acts as an ambassador for the company values.

The right fit

Suitable candidates will be CIPD qualified (Level 5) and have experience working within a heavily unionised environment, where they have worked with senior stakeholders, possessing extensive employee relations experience.

  • CIPD level 5 qualification
  • 3 + years’ experience at HR Manager level within manufacturing
  • Proven experience in a unionised environment
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills at a senior level
  • Change management capability
