MCS Group is thrilled to be representing an expanding, innovative company based in County Louth, currently seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager on a permanent, full-time basis.

Based just over the boarder in County Louth, this role is easily commutable for any ambitious HR professionals based in Northern Ireland, looking for a new challenge.

The company

This award winning and innovative company have grown at a steady rate over the past 5 years, currently sitting with circa 150 staff spread across multiple sites in Ireland and UK. The companies senior leadership team are extremely bought into HR and it’s impact on the rest of the business, understanding it’s commercial importance to the wider business. The successful candidate will therefore have complete buy in from the senior management team.

The role

Reporting to the Senior Management team, the successful Senior HR Manager will be responsible for the effective delivery of all HR aspects for the business, working in partnership with the Senior Management team to ensure excellent service is provided to managers & employees at all times, in a consistent manner.

This is a standalone role, with scope to develop in the next two years due to projected growth, with plans to add an additional head in HR to cover the companies UK sites. The successful HR Manager will work closely with various internal stakeholders throughout the business, travelling to the UK sites when required, understanding current and future recruitment requirements, ensuring talent is pipelined in key areas.

Talent Management is another key aspect of the role, were the successful candidate will be tasked with attracting the best talent in the market, at all levels, as well as retaining and developing the current talent within the organisation, as the company continues to grow. Due to this, experience of people development and management development programmes would be highly desirable.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for other day to day responsibilities, including implementing policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated to the wider business, as well as overseeing any employee relations issues, as and when they arrive.

To apply for the role

Suitable candidates will possess a relevant degree, ideally be CIPD qualified and have HR Business Partner experience, where they have worked with and successfully influenced senior stakeholders.

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent), ideally possessing a CIPD qualification
  • 4 + years’ experience at HR Business Partner / HR Manager level or equivalent level
  • Excellent relationship management and influencing skills at a senior level
  • Strong recruitment experience, at all levels
  • Experience of implementing people development programmes
  • Flexibility to travel to UK sites when required
  • Sound understanding of recent employment legislation, ideally ROI and UK
