Rapidly Expanding Contractor, Unique in the Current Market, Promising Career Opportunity, Competitive Salary
Your new company
Your potential new employer has been established within the construction industry for almost 30 years, delivering a wide range of construction projects from traditional block to more innovative options such as modular construction throughout the UK and Ireland. They specialise in Fast Track, off-site solutions, which enables them to deliver exceptional buildings within strict budgets and time frames. This contractor has experienced an increase in workload recently, and such growth is still ongoing. Due to this exponential growth they now have a necessity to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to expand their commercial team.
Your new role
You will be working within an integral part of the business as part of the Commercial Team working on a variety of projects across Ireland and the UK. You will be heavily involved in assisting the Senior Team in the preparation and management of the project budget. Due to the location of projects you will be required to travel to the UK 2 days a week. The value of these projects will vary, ranging up to £10m, working on forms of contract NEC and JCT including full design and build requirements.
What you’ll need to succeed
Due to the size and scale of my client’s current project portfolio, it is essential that the successful candidate will have previously worked for a main contractor and completed a build project. You will be degree qualified with 5 years of experience in a similar role. Additionally you must be IT proficient and preferably demonstrate experience in the use of construction software packages. Strong negotiation skills and effective time management will be essential for the role.
What you’ll get in return
This construction expert has maintained a solid reputation of employee development, providing in-house training and establishing a clear career path. Fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation and excellence, this contractor has grown year on year, establishing their position as a leading provider of modular and prefabricated buildings for a broad range of sectors in the UK and Ireland. They provide a highly competitive salary, pension plan, and 29 days annual leave.
