Vickerstock are currently looking for an experienced Quality Manager for our Manufacturing Client who is based in the Antrim Area. The Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all products leaving the factory have been manufactured to the highest specification before being released for delivery. The role is pivotal in terms of driving high levels of Quality across all business functions.

Key Duties

The Quality Manager will be responsible for the following;

  • Ensuring that quality targets are achieved
  • Accurately document the results of all inspections and testing
  • Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to the factory management
  • Product development of new products and material
  • Inspecting the quality of manufactured products and reworks
  • Audit checks of finished products to insure the highest level of quality is meet.
  • Maintaining a record of reports and documents.
  • Liaising with departments and varying customers in order to maximise the quality and delivery of required products.
  • Ensure that all machine start – up checks is done.
  • Ensuring all production machines are fit for purpose

Essential Criteria

The Quality Manager must be able to demonstrate the following;

  • 2 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience in a role of a similar nature
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A working knowledge of computer systems
  • Flexible to work a reasonable amount of overtime
