Our innovative leading client based in Newry have a fantastic opportunity for a Purchase Ledger to join their growing finance team

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting a Purchase Ledger for our client based in Newry.

Purchase Ledger

Responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks relating to the efficient maintenance and processing of ‘accounts payable’ transactions including:

  • Processing invoicing through our clients accounting package
  • Corresponding with relevant departments for invoice approval
  • Matching and reconciling invoices to delivery notes, purchase orders and PODs
  • Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing supplier details within the Purchase Ledger
  • Arranging approval and payment of sub-contractor invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Undertake any ad hoc duties reporting to the Financial Controller

Key Requirements for this role are as follows:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE’s including Maths and English
  • Experience in a busy finance capacity
  • Excellent communication skills and confident in interaction with others
  • Delivers tasks in a professional and organised way with limited supervision and responsive to immediate priorities.
  • Computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
