The Company:

This family owned company has been in operation since 1954 and has grew to become one of the largest food manufacturing companies in the North and South of Ireland.  Employing over 200 staff on the Fermanagh site, this company plays a vital role in bringing a large volume of jobs to the area. 

The Job:

Our client now requires a number of temporary Production Operatives to assist in one of their busiest years to date.  These positions are temporary but may become permanent depending on your own performance and the companies requirements in the New Year.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Working on various points of the production line, ensuring product is being processed according to specification.
  • Lifting, loading and carrying product, line equipment and packaging from the intake/storage areas to the production/packing areas
  • Stacking pallets and preparing pallets for dispatch
  • Reporting to Team Leaders frequently throughout the day for further instruction, reporting any issues with production and seeking assistance with issues that may arise.
  • Working closely with Production Operatives, Quality Controllers, Team Leaders, Shift Managers and Production Managers to ensure the smooth running of the production line.
  • Light cleaning duties
  • Documenting production issues for the Quality Department as and when required
  • Providing excellent customer service to all visitors to the site.

Essential Criteria:

  • Due to the nature of the working environment and the duties involved in the role, it is essential for all successful candidates to be able to read, write and speak clear English.
  • Successful candidates will display good numeracy kills
  • Due to the location of the company and the hours of work, it is essential that the successful candidates will have access to their own transport OR can arrange a reliable method of transport to ensure punctuality for every shift. 

Desirable Criteria:

  • Previous working experience in a Food Manufacturing company
  • Previous HACCP or BRC regulations awareness or training
  • Food Hygiene Certificate

 

Hours of Work:        (Day Shift) Monday to Friday 8am to 4.30pm

                                (Evening Shift) Monday to Friday 4.30pm to 1am

                                (Night Shift) Monday to Friday 9pm to 5am

Saturday work is expected of every candidate over peak periods or to meet tight deadlines.  All successful candidates will have flexibility to work some Saturdays.  Please note most vacancies are currently on the 9pm to 5am shift. 

 

Rate of pay:      Day shift rate – £7.95ph

                         Evening and Night Shift – £9.14ph

Duration: Minimum four Months (May be extended thereafter depending on performance and company requirements)
