Vickerstock are currently assisting one of the largest food manufacturing firms in Northern Ireland with the recruitment of a Production Manager on day-shift for their busy County Tyrone site.

Job Overview:

The successful Production Manager will be responsible for delivering projects and supporting management to ensure the factory performances at the highest level. They will be responsible for Supervisors and Operatives and will report directly to the on-site Plant Manager

Job Duties
The Production Manager will be responsible for the following duties within the role:

  • Head up production operations of the group with overall responsibility for quality, on time delivery and production efficiencies.
  • Lead production teams to maximise performance that meets and exceeds company KPI’s.
  • Profit improvement projects, ensuring team members are meeting all KPI’s
  • Delivery of improved production efficiencies
  • Full accountability for technical KPI’s ensuring that the company targets are achieved and appropriate actions to resolve.
  • Lead internal audits for your areas of responsibility.
  • Awareness and understanding of actions to support and deliver on Food Safety and Product Quality Index targets.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality, shift produce products that meet the agreed customer specification and quality standards
  • Optimise energy usage, looking at opportunities for energy reduction and carbon footprint reduction.


Criteria/Essential Experience

The Production Manager must be able to demonstrate the following:

  • 2 + years’ experience as a Production Manager within the Agri Food industry
  • Experience working in a high volume multi process manufacturing environment
  • Previous track record of leading and developing teams to achieve goals and targets
  • Understanding of continuous improvement / lean manufacturing methodology


Hours: Day-Shift

Salary: £Negoitable
