Hays Construction & Property Belfast are working in partnership with a highly successful construction company to source a Pre-Contract Bid Manger. They are a family owned, bespoke contractor, established over 40 years ago and operate in many sectors within the construction industry throughout the UK and Ireland. They are unique in the market and offer smart solutions starting with turnkey construction packages for all sectors, as well as advanced bespoke modular buildings and modular space for sale or hire. Due to consistent success, they are set to expand even more so than they have done recently, and therefore have a new requirement for a Pre-Contract Bid Manager to join their already established Commercial Team.
Your new role
Reporting directly to the Pre-Contract Services Manager you will have individual responsibility for the successful conversion of project bid opportunities from tender award stage to contract execution. Based in Co.Tyrone you will assist in the compilation of educational, healthcare, residential and leisure tender submissions. You will be expected to assist in the review, preparation and delivery of tenders to prospective clients and internally to Senior Management. The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual who can demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team as you will be expected to collaborate with the Pre-Contracts Team as well as other teams within the business on a regular basis .
What you’ll need to succeed
You will preferably have a third-level qualification in a construction related discipline, and will have experience of working within the construction industry in a Bid Manager role. Persons will ideally be coming with several years’ experience from a contract delivery or bid management background with strong client facing and commercial exposure. You must have a high level of knowledge in relation to construction contracts and design principles, whilst also being able to present high quality bid documents. Excellent IT skills including knowledge and application of programming software will be necessary. The successful Bid Manager must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure and to deliver work to tight deadlines.
