We are looking for qualified nurses, occupational therapists, paramedics and physiotherapists to work as Disability Living Assessors in the Dungannon area on behalf of our global client. We have both full-time and part time positions available, which are ideal for anyone who is interested in a change of career whilst being able to revalidate their PIN throughout. These positions offer a new challenge for medical professionals who no longer wish to work in a clinical environment and can work more sociable hours.

As a disability assessor, you will be carrying out face to face assessments on an individual who is making a Personal Independent Payment (PIP) claim either in the claimant’s home or in one of the company’s clinics. You may also be required to complete paper-based assessments where a face to face meeting would not be necessary.

You will also gather information on the claimant and make assessments in order to conduct a full report on the history of the claimant’s condition (s) and be able to support your recommendations and conclusion.

Full training will be provided in order to prepare you for your role and progress working into the role from home in order to travel to clinics in your region.

Essential criteria:

  • Have at least two years’ post-registration experience as an Occupational Therapist (OT), Physiotherapist, Nurse, or Paramedic with a licence to practice and must be registered with the NMC / HCPC / GMC with a valid PIN.
  • Have a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
  • Have report writing experience in order to process all of the claimant’s information and put it into a detailed report for the DWP
  • Regular IT Usage
  • Be able to commit to six weeks of full time training in Belfast (Fully Paid)
