Part-Qualified Accountant - Belfast - £17-27k - Supportive environment within a growing firm.
MCS Group has an exciting opportunity for a Part-Qualified Accountant to join a unique and highly sought-after accountancy firm in Belfast.
Culturally this firm is not the norm. The Partners are approachable and believe in treating people like adults. They will regularly take the time to discuss your future plans and explore how they can best assist you in your development. You will benefit from a settled senior team who know the business and the clients inside out, allowing you to complete your work in a friendly and supportive environment.
You will be joining a small team where you will work with a range of clients on all aspects of accounts and tax work; providing technical solutions and a high-quality service to clients. Your role will be primarily focused on accounts and tax, but you will also get involved in other areas of the business depending on the needs of the client. As you progress, you will have the opportunity to mentor junior staff; delegating work, ensuring key deadlines are met, and enhancing the overall service delivery. Working closely with the Manager, you will also gain exposure to the management of financial performance, including budgeting and fee preparation. You will be given the freedom to make the role your own, offering support in your development and the opportunity to progress to management levels.
You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) with a strong accounting background in either a small, medium or large accountancy firm. You will ideally have a broad range of skills across accounts, audit and tax. Accounting technicians with relevant experience in an accountancy practice will also be considered.
In addition to receiving a competitive salary package reflective of your experience, you will be joining a small and supportive team where you can truly make your mark in the business. Full study support for completing your professional qualifications will also be provided. Flexible working arrangements can be made (e.g. work from home, a four-day week) but this would be addressed over time and on a case by case basis. The firm also offers occasional social events (e.g. trips abroad) and finishes early on Fridays!
I am keen to have an initial discussion with anyone who feels this could potentially be of interest. Please contact Caroline Gaughan, Specialist Consultant at MCS Group or send an up to date CV via the link provided to speak further about this opportunity.
