M&E Coordinator opportunity with award winning contractor in Belfast

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 DOE and competitive package

Location: Belfast with 3+ days U.K. travel per week

Vickerstock are currently recruiting for an M&E Coordinator for a highly regarded Northern Ireland Construction company for their office in Belfast.

M&E Coordinator role

Reporting to the Technical Director you will manage the successful delivery M&E services of projects allocated to you, ensuring design, coordination, Installation are within project specification and programme.

M&E Coordinator Duties;

  • Manage the M&E subcontractors ensuring design, coordination and on-site installation of building services are in line with current legislation, industry standards and programme requirements
  • Using your technical knowledge provide input and advice as required to live projects and tenders
  • Coordinate all works in accordance with Health & Safety requirements, including all on-site permit systems.
  • Chair subcontractor progress, design, technical and commissioning meetings
  • Ensure contracts manager and Quantity Surveyor are kept up to date with variations to the works which are likely to have commercial or contractual impact
  • Any other duties as and when required

M&E Critera;

  • At least 3-5 years’ experience of M&E works large scale construction projects
  • Degree level educated in Building Services Engineering or HNC/HNS equivalent may be considered dependant on experience
  • Strong communication skills but written and verbal
  • Fully IT literature with proficient use of Microsoft word excel, PowerPoint, outlook
  • Knowledge of BIM or Mechanical Design or Electrical design would be desirable
