Marketing Consultant, well respected organisation

My client is one of Northern Ireland’s leading Management and Marketing Consultancy practices, they have developed a well-respected reputation with both private and public sector clients across NI. In recent years they have substantially grown their business in non-local markets, over the next few months, they will be delivering consultancy assignments in Republic of Ireland, GB, USA and India.

One of the keys to their ongoing success and growth is their preparedness to diversify and innovate whilst working in a very ‘hands on’ way to support the growth efforts of SMEs and micro enterprises.

As part of their growth plans, they now seek to employ a Marketing Consultant to provide practical mentoring and business advisory services to clients in the SME/micro enterprise sectors, principally in the fields of marketing and business development, social media and e-marketing.

The Marketing Consultant role is wide-ranging and varies from client to client but typically involves: –

Marketing and business development support

  • Assessing client readiness to grow, either locally or in markets outside NI
  • Conducting market research to profile potential new business development opportunities
  • Providing tailored sales and marketing training for staff
  • Assisting the client to plan strategically for the future
  • Assisting the client to implement sales and marketing strategies.

Social media and e-marketing support

  • Using social media to build brand awareness in target markets
  • Developing and implementing social media and e-marketing campaigns
  • Developing / upgrading websites

The successful candidates must have: –

  • A degree and/or post-graduate qualification
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a marketing/marketing advisory role – this role must have been client-facing
  • Strong communication and inter-personal skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines and to deliver consultancy inputs on a range of projects simultaneously
  • A working knowledge of website Content Management Systems – preferably WordPress
  • Experience of building and customising template-based WordPress websites – from concept to launch
  • Knowledge and experience of Analytics, SEO, Adwords and Mailchimp
  • Basic Photoshop skills
  • Evidence of managing Social Media Platforms for business including: Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Twitter
  • Experience of using Facebook Advertising Platform and Facebook Business Manager.

Starting salary of £22,000 to £30,000 on offer for the right candidate. Professional working environment based in modern offices in Newtownbreda. Full clean driving license and access to own car essential. Monday to Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. Friday 3.00pm finish. 28 days holiday, pension, free parking.
