Vickerstock are currently looking for a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for our world leading Manufacturing Client based in the Tyrone Area. The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be a crucial member within the organisation for driving continuous improvement in all areas of the business using lean, quality and costing techniques.

Key Duties:

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer will be responsible for the following;

  • Documenting and developing manufacturing procedures and processes to support best practice
  • Plan and perform effective Inspection activities within the business in fabrication and assembly
  • Assist with the development of Quality Test plans and processes
  • Drive Continuous Improvement activities throughout value chain using Lead Manufacturing and Quality Tools
  • The ability to work within a multi-disciplined team and be heavily involved with all other departments within the business
  • Work alongside the aftersales team to implement appropriate Corrective Action Plans for any field issues
  • Providing full cost analysis of all new and existing machines within the business
  • Providing forecast cost analysis/target pricing through utilisation of pre-defined costing templates
  • Lead review meetings, liaise with Senior Management and work with suppliers
  • Active member of the ISO 9001 team, including development of internal manufacturing and quality procedures

Essential Criteria:

The Manufacturing Quality Engineer must be able to demonstrate to following criteria;

  • 2 years minimum experience within a Material handling sector
  • 3rd level qualification in engineering or related discipline
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continual Improvement techniques
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and CAD software would be ideal
  • Strong technical background in a manufacturing environment
