The Job: The successful Inventory Analyst will be responsible for maintaining inventory levels necessary to meet actual and forecast sales demand.  Reporting directly to the Inventory Manager and working closely with the entire Procurement team, the successful person will assist the team in achieving 100% stock accuracy at all times, providing this accurate information to Management. 

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

  • Maintaining the company’s inventory model through ongoing review and updates to relevant MRP systems, including ABC classification and safety stocks;
  • Optimise replenishment frequency, balancing inventory and operational costs;
  • Work with Purchasing, Planning and Demand Planning to maintain inventory levels which reflect seasonality, new product launches, market shocks and product declines;
  • Generate inventory analytics / KPIs for Management reporting and support ongoing actions to optimize inventory levels including inventory projections, shortfalls, overages, ageing, obsolescence and stock turns;
  • Highlight Inventory risks to the Inventory Manager, Purchasing team and other relevant Managers
  • Perform ad hoc cycle counts and support in interim and year end stock counts.
  • Inventing solutions to discrepancies following root-cause analysis

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to degree level in Business Management/Finance/Supply Chain or related subject
  • Minimum 2 years previous experience in an Inventory Analyst or Inventory Supervisor role
  • Experience in meeting Inventory KPI’s and working to strict deadlines
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience using ERP/MRP systems

Desirable Criteria:

  • Minimum 2 years Inventory experience at a Supervisor or Manager level in a fast paced Manufacturing setting such as pharmaceutical, food production or healthcare settings.
