Job Description

ABI’s Policy Admin system is a Vended application which therefore offers a different perspective on Integration applications within Allstate and will offer exposer to various DCIOs’ and vendors. The right candidate will get the opportunity to work on designing, maintaining and enhancing existing systems and will be involved at all levels of project work from inception through to implementation.

Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):

  • Responsibility for the analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of Tibco BW’s.  This will involve working directly with business representatives to understand requirements, and attending design, gating and defect meetings to ensure a high-quality product is deployed
  • Liaise with stakeholders to resolve technical challenges and build solutions- including BA’s, SA’s, Delivery leads, Architecture and Testing teams
  • Drive improvement and innovation across the business area
  • Ability to adapt and respond to changes both inside and outside the projects
  • Proactively identify, resolve, and escalate (as needed) project risks/issues to manager, portfolio manager and delivery area as needed
  • Support the Operations team, when required

Essential Criteria

  • Have a minimum of 5 years development experience including a minimum of 2 years in an integration environment
  • Have experience of systems design both Functional and Technical
  • Experience of analyzing, refining and documenting system requirements within an integration environment
  • Knowledge of systems that support Continuous Integration i.e. GitHub, Jenkins
  • Knowledge of Allstate TIBCO environment.
  • Aptitude to work with architects, analyze project requirements and drive the integration.
  • Must be an EU citizen or possess a current UK Tier 1 Visa or Tier 2 visa and eligible to take up full time, permanent employment

Desirable Criteria

  • JavaScript or Java skills
  • Experience of estimating
  • Layer 7 experience
  • Knowledge of Cloud engineering

Hours of Work:

  • Standard hours Mon – Fri
  • Flexibility to meet business needs as required;
  • Occasional weekend support work
