VANRATH HR is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a growing distribution business based in County Antrim, wishing to appoint a HR Manager to a newly created role.

The HR Manager will have the opportunity to develop the HR function and department, of a growing and high performing all-Ireland business. You will work closely with the senior management and board in influencing HR policy across a broad remit of functions.

Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate recruitment and selection across the Group from initial advertising; short listing; interviews to appointment and induction.
  • Support and guide managers across the Group with performance reviews; probation reviews; sickness absence management; investigations; capability processes; disciplinary & grievance processes.
  • Lead on HR/change management projects and initiatives across business.
  • Develop, maintain, communicate and implement HR policies and procedures.
  • Develop HR function across the business.
  • Manage and maintain HR management system
  • Manage all administration relevant to HR and ensure compliance with monitoring returns etc.
  • Liaise with external legal and business advisors when required.
  • Conduct training analysis with managers and co-ordinate/deliver staff training.
  • Responsibility for Group Health & Safety policy and procedure.
  • Ensure up to date and accurate statistics and prepare reports for the senior management and Board

The Person

  • A business or HR related degree and CIPD certification;
  • A competent understanding of employment law, ideally both in NI and ROI.
  • Experience in a multi-site environment within a manufacturing or distribution business would be advantageous
  • H&S experience or related qualification is desirable
  • Knowledge of HR management systems
