Hays are delighted to have been retained by a highly reputable main Northern Irish building contractor in their search for an motivated Health & Safety Advisor join their impressive business. This Contractor has built a highly successful and profitable operating model over the last 20 years demonstrating sustained and continued growth. Their existing portfolio of work spans across the Educational and Commercial sectors with project values ranging to £20M+.
Your new role
This is an intermediate level role for a Health, & Safety Advisor. The successful applicant will be involved initially across the Education and Healthcare sectors. With an excellent client base your role will be reporting directly to a HSQE Manager and ensure that works are carried out safely, with best practice and under all correct legislations. You will be tasked with conducting regular site audits and inspections as directed in the Safety Management System. You will Deliver Health & Safety induction programmes and assist Site Management in drafting and communicating RAM’s
What you’ll need to succeed
To be successful in this role it will be essential that you have a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a Construction related Health & Safety role. You will be required to hold relevant Health & Safety Certificates i.e. NEBOSH Cert and be a keen and eager individual who is ready to learn and develop further. You will also have previous experience overseeing health & safety on site. This in turn will mean you will be required to have excellent communication, training and presentation skills.
