We’ve got an exceptional opportunity for an ambitious Food and Beverage Manager to join the team ensuring that we deliver a high standard of work practices, exceptional standards of presentation and engaging experiences with our visitors. As the Food and Beverage Manager you will have passion for food and enjoy inspiring a team to deliver great results and income opportunity ties so that the profit can be reinvested into our vital conservation work.

What you’ll be doing

 

Working collaboratively with the wider property team, you will support the delivery of our cause related activities to our supporters ensuring that the experience we offer exceeds visitor’s expectations and offers reasons to return and support our cause. You will help embed our stories in we do and share your passion for bringing Castle Ward to life through our food & beverage operations.

The role includes the management of a team of approximately 10 staff including a number of seasonal team members, with a strong motivation needed on the leadership of this team. The role would also require a focus on both front of house customer service and delivery back office processes and procedures. As a member of the Head of Department team at Castle Ward, you will support in the delivery of ambitious results to ensure the care of our special place.

You will support the development of the catering team through coaching and training to deliver our key work as part of the national Food and Beverage Strategy.

Who we’re looking for

 

To be successful in this role you’ll need to be;

  • An inspiring, motivating leader with strong coaching, developing and supervising skills who’s comfortable with giving constructive feedback when necessary
  • Able to understand your customers and take pride in delivering excellent customer service – personally, and through your team
  • Able to express ideas and unafraid to test them out
  • Experience of managing a Food & Beverage operation with multiple outlets
  • Experience of setting, working towards, and achieving targets for yourself and your teams
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Food Hygiene qualifications and Health & Safety compliance
  • Experience of managing budgets
