An opportunity has arisen for a Belfast based experienced Finance Senior Associate (“SA”) working for internal finance providing decision support and solutions on technical and commercial financial issues. .
A career in Finance, within internal firm services, will provide you with the opportunity to help PwC in all aspects of our Finance internal function including financial planning and reporting, data analysis, and assisting leadership with overall strategy. You’ll focus on recording and analysing financial transactions, paying and receiving invoices, maintaining financial statement ledger accounts, and preparing analysis and reconciliations of bills to detect fraud.
As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our clients solve their complex business issues from strategy to execution. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to
Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Managers and above
Train and lead staff
Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand
An opportunity has arisen for a Belfast based experienced Finance Senior Associate (“SA”) working for internal finance providing decision support and solutions on technical and commercial financial issues. The role supports PwC Northern Ireland, working across 4 Lines of Service – Assurance, Tax, Deals & Consulting. They will report to the Finance Manager and work in a small team.
As a Finance Senior Associate the individual should be able to demonstrate and develop an understanding of the business they work in and be able to apply technical, analytical and commercial skills to provide support to the Finance Manager/Senior Manager and client facing teams. The individual should be enthusiastic to learn, able to prioritise, confident to communicate in both verbal and written forms and be a strong relationship builder.
The Finance SA will play a key role in supporting both the Finance Manager & Senior Manager in the following areas:
Collating information and providing input into the monthly financial results and commentary. Monitoring areas of financial performance against Key Performance Indicators, escalating issues where management action is required, with supporting analysis. Understanding and monitoring working capital position and influencing the Business Units to improve. Supporting the Finance Manager/Senior Manager in the implementation of OneFirm specific financial performance improvement initiatives.
Works in close partnership with the Financial Control centre of excellence to encourage a culture of strong financial discipline and adoption of One Firm financial policies and procedures within the business unit. Reviews completion of controls work performed by
Financial Control/Finance Executive and follows up any exceptions accordingly, identifying and escalating any significant issues. Ensuring local financial risk knowledge is shared with the Financial Control centre of excellence. Previous experience working in a finance function essential
Qualified or part qualified accountant
Ability to prioritise workload, ask questions and promote financial best practice

Excellent interpersonal skills and confidence when interacting with others
