The Company:

Our Client an ambitious Global Market leader within the Power Industry are currently in the Market for an Engineering Plant Manager reporting directly to the Technical Director  

 

The Role:

The Plant Manager will be responsible for managing a 24/7 Quad Gen Power Plant, have full control of operations, Finances, Procurement and maintenance.  Manage a team of Engineers and Office staff:

Main aspects of the job include:

  • Ensure the Plant engineers / operators are engaged and high performing with a focus on problem solving and team work.
  • Build trust through effective leadership and the skilled application of people management processes and open 2 way communications
  • Managing, planning and coordinating workloads and projects, alongside setting and auditing strategy to maintain highest standards possible
  • Managing the performance of a multi-disciplinary team, including establishing KPI’s
  • Implementation and update of ISO 22000, FSSC 22000 and ISO9001 at the CHP plant operations.
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed and adherence to department financial budgets
  • Build strong relationships with both internal and external customers, ensuring that the team meets all customer requirements
  • Implement and control the operation of Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards to remain compliant with legislation and internal procedures including ISO 9001 & 14001.
  • Ensuring preventative and reactive maintenance programs are followed
  • Preparation and presentation of budgets. Responsibility for P&L
  • Development and Management of continuous improvement projects

 

The Person:

It is anticipated that the successful candidate will come from a similar background and will be looking for the next challenge in their career. Self-starting and motivated, applicants will also need to satisfy the following:

Essential Criteria:

  • 3 years’ recent Management experience
  • Qualified Engineer
  • Strong Operations and people management experience
  • Strong Knowledge of the Energy and Power industry
  • Recent experience of delivering large projects in a complex industrial and technical environment with a working knowledge of project management techniques
