Abacus Professional Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for a Commercial Account Handler on behalf of a local industry leading Insurance Brokerage in their Coleraine location. Our client places a strong emphasis on building strong lasting relationships with their clients across numerous industry sectors. With their vast local business knowledge they have built up the highest standards of customer care, service and client retention.

Role

From the Coleraine office you will effectively deal and assist customers’ needs with their accounts by making mid-term adjustments, renewals and assisting with other queries which may arise. You will use your current experience from the insurance industry to explain and communicate with all contacts, including insurance companies in an accurate and timely manner.

You will be required to deal with all business clients professionally by processing and broking renewals promptly and efficiently whilst also maintaining high renewal retention rates.

Moreover, a key aspect of this role will require you to work as a key member of the commercial team alongside Account Executives and Sales Managers, helping them both maintain relationships with existing clients and generate new business.

Requirements

  • To succeed in this role it is essential that you have a minimum of 3 years previous experience working in an insurance / broking orientated environment.
  • You will possess strong computer skills and have a working knowledge of computerised insurance systems.
  • 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
  • The successful candidate will possess the energy, enthusiasm and ability to work within a demanding environment that requires a hands-on approach.

Salary

Salary is negotiable depending on experience.
