Our growing Dungannon based candidate has a fantastic job opportunity for an assistant accountant to join the team.

MCS Group is delighted to be recruiting an Assistant Accountant for our Dungannon based client.

Since our client’s introduction to the market we have seen an unprecedented rate of growth and therefore looking to add an assistant accountant to support the Financial Controller for future operations.

This position is ideal for a candidate wanting to join a forward thinking modern business with future room for progression.

Reporting to the Financial Controller your responsibilities are as follows:

  • Assisting in the preparation & production of monthly management accounts
  • Look over monthly overhead expenditure and assist in the preparation of annual budgets
  • Ensure timely completion of monthly Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Responsible for Sales ledger – inputting invoices, analysing payments and reconciling debtors
  • VAT returns
  • Input invoices to Sage, match against PO, check quantity and prices
  • CIS returns
  • Employee expenses – verified & input to Sage
  • Prepare supplier payment run
  • Chase and reconcile credit notes
  • Project cost reporting


  • Part-Qualified Accountant in ACCA, CIMA or ACCA
  • Accounting technician with strong experience assisting in the production of accounts
  • Experience in Sage
  • Efficient and attention to detail
  • Must be a team player and flexible
