Administrative Assistant required on a temporary basis for a Public Sector organisation based in Armagh, £18-£20k

Administrative Assistant (Armagh)

VANRATH are pleased to be recruiting for a Public Sector organisation for a temporary Administrative Assistant based in their Armagh office. The Administrative Assistant will be required to act as a PA as well as providing administrative support within the department.

Responsibilities:

Duties include:

  • Manage diaries and associated arrangements
  • Identify and prioritise tasks on an ongoing basis
  • Be responsible for making contact at venues to book rooms and catering etc
  • Compile and collate papers and reports
  • Service monthly meetings including drafting agendas issuing notice of meetings etc
  • Prepare and amend follow-up papers such as minutes, action sheets etc
  • Create templates to display and store relevant information in the appropriate format
  • Co-ordinate the planning and organising of events, conferences and workshops
  • Any other duties as required

The Ideal Person:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs (Grades A-C) or equivalent including Maths and English
  • At least 2 years relevant administrative experience to include:
    • Serving of meetings
    • Diary management
    • Managing databases and spreadsheets
  • One years experience of using Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Be able to work on own initiative
  • Have ability to work under pressure

Remuneration:

£18000 – £20000
