Exceptional opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join a company who work within the construction industry in a part time HR and Training Manager role.

HR and Training Manager

VANRATH are excited to support our client in the recruitment of a part time HR and Training Manager. Reporting into the Senior Team you will support a client group of aprx 100 employees. This is an exciting new position for the business who have plans to grow the business in ROI and increase their head count substantially over the next 2 years. In this role you will support across, recruitment, training and generalist HR as well as a number of strategic projects.


  • Work closely with the leadership team to set the HR Strategy in line with business goals
  • Provide HR guidance and advice to line managers on Employee Relations issues
  • Ensure that all policies and procedures are kept up to date and are adhered to by the business
  • Lead recruitment activity at the site ensuring that we attract the best talent into the organisation
  • Liaise with external training providers to arrange specialist training
  • Run company specific training and inductions
  • Take responsibility for Reward and Award schemes
  • Support CPD for all staff
  • HR Admin eg. Compile contracts, offer letter

The Ideal Person:

Candidates should be CIPD qualified or hold an HR related qualification. You should have worked at HR Manager level previously and ideally have worked within engineering or construction. You must be creative and proactive, keen to propose ideas, working closely with the business to develop an HR service which will support the company as they grow. This is a part time role based on circa 25 hours which can be spread across 3 – 5 days.


£33 – 38k pro rata
